About the position

Do you want to help shape the chefs and restaurant professionals of the future? We are expanding our operations and looking for an additional engaged and competent restaurant teacher for our unit in Visby.

As a restaurant teacher with us, you will play a central role in educating and inspiring our students. You will be responsible for planning, preparing, and conducting lessons that combine theoretical and practical elements within restaurant and food. The teaching follows the Swedish National Agency for Education's curricula and our internal guidelines, always focusing on meeting the needs and demands of the industry.

Your duties also include:

• Planning and following up on APL placements (workplace-based learning), as well as building and developing collaborations with local restaurants and businesses.
• Using your industry knowledge to create a realistic and relevant education that reflects the demands and realities of the profession.
• Providing students with both theoretical foundations and practical skills that they can use directly in their professional lives.

We would like you to contribute with good professional skills in kitchen work, serving, food handling, or other areas related to the restaurant industry.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, we see that you have:

• At least 1 year of professional experience in the restaurant field (for example, as a chef, cold food preparer, meal assistant, or similar).
• At least 2 years of experience teaching adults in the vocational field (high school, municipal adult education, or labor market education) within the last 6 years.
• Documented pedagogical skills.
• Vocational teacher certification (meritorious but not required).
• Good professional knowledge and practical experience from the restaurant industry, which can contribute to high-quality education.
